today’s 3 website recommendations

Posted by: admin In: unusual

With the heat of the summer at its keenest we have to stand back and admire some people’s commitment to style whatever the environment. With that in mind here are some websites you should review if …

  • you’re ever considering getting a mullet
  • you’re considering growing a beard
  • you begin to look like Kenny Rogers

Mullet man1. Mullet Junky (http://www.mulletjunky.com)
It’s educational, includes lady-mullets, Baggio style rat tails and introduces a range of excellent new expressions like “mullestache”. Check it out and respect to the ’ape drape’!

Bearded man2. All About Beards (www.beards.org)
Unbelievable, most of these guys are serious you know. Unfortunately you’ve missed 2009’s World Beard and Moustache Championship but there’s always next year.

Kenny Rodgers3. MenWhoLookLikeKennyRogers.com (http://www.menwholooklikekennyrogers.com/)
It does what it says on the tin, full respect to these country gents and (Ruby) don’t take your love to town.

We almost included a website with very dodgy tattoos aswell but some were absolutely rank so we’ve abstained, funny’s one thing but some of the ink work is just indecent. All we’ll say is if you’re thinking of getting a tat’ for goodness sake prepare well and if you’re definitely going ahead with your body art use a hygienic, experienced professional!

There’ll be more in the next website trio and if you’ve got your own recommendations please send them in.

StagWeb’s mo’ cricket

Until then let the games commence (whether you play StagWeb’smo’ cricket” on the stag weekend or in the pub), it’s 1 point for a ‘mo (moustache), 2 points for a purvey mo’, 3 for a handle bar, 4 for a goatee, 6 for a full beard, 7 for a mullet, 8 for a rat tail (they’re rare these days) and a big 10 for a Kenny Rogers – and if you actually see legend Kenny Rogers you win regardless! Game on!

Cheese rolling stag party ideaCheese Rolling – it’s dangerous and all you get is a cheese at the end of it … if you win.

Bobsleigh stag party ideasInternational Bobsleigh - it’s the real deal and real frightening, go in winter for the biggest thrill.

hot dog stag party ideaHot Dog Eating Contest – sickening, how could you stomach it? Don’t mess with these boys they’re professionals.

Doing nothing – That’s the most foolhardy of all.

Anyone of these could make you extremely unpopular and they’re not recommended, as we say they’re foolhardy and could be dangerous – can you believe people do this. If you intend on doing one of these – take advice first, consult your doctor (and possibly your shrink) to check your health and make sure you have insurance (and that it covers you!).

If you’ve got any other nominations let us know. Also to see some more traditional stag weekends take a look at StagWeb

Don’t let it drag, enjoy your stag!

So you’re looking for stag party ideas? Fancy dress? Pranks? Then you’ve come to the right place my friend! This site is dedicated to finding you that extra special idea to make your stag party something you’ll remember for life!

Let’s just give you a quick run down of stag related things happening now:

pranks & fancy dress

Of course there’s the Mankini!  Since the film ‘Borat’ that thing has become massive, and it’s becoming a tradition for the stag to wear and have all the lads taking pictures and posting them on Facebook. If you haven’t already bought one, take a look here

‘the hangover’

The new film to hit the screens is  ‘The Hangover’ – A Las Vegas-set comedy centered around three groomsmen who lose their about-to-be-wed buddy during their drunken misadventures, then must retrace their steps in order to find him. It has some lesser names you may not have heard of but the lovely Heather Graham is in it, so worth taking a look even for her! Watch the trailor here

new European stag weekend destinations

We’ve heard about the legend of Prague and it’s still extremely popular but there are some new destinations on the scene if you’re looking for something a little different.

Here’s a few new ones StagWeb stag weekends offer – Gothenburg (Sweden), Ibiza (Spain), Gdansk (Poland), Algarve (Portugal), Rome (Italy), Zagreb (Croatia – excellent exchange rate right now!) and there’s also a few more up and coming stag destinations in Poland

See all StagWeb’s stag weekend destinations here

After a long and memorable stag weekend Monday is often a struggle, and if you’ve really hit it that struggle often pushes into Tuesday and Wednesday. Let’s face it, a loaded stag do with the boys is one of life’s special occasions but gentlemen, enthusiastic indulgence on the stag weekend can lead to a little under performance for a couple of days when you get back.

So what can you do to avoid the Monday morning drop that follows an incredible stag weekend high? Hangovers are a science, but here are a few (non-medically referenced) in house tips that in our opinion may help …

1. drink lots of water throughout the weekend itself and then from the moment you get back for the next 48 hours
2. have the fridge stocked for when you return home with a some tasty hangover beating grub
3. don’t forget the healthy stuff either, lots of fruit, fruit juice and salad
4. put in your mind a 2-3 day de-tox, no booze, fags, chocolate, burgers, fast / bad food etc
5. decent sleep, try and get at least 8 hours a night for the next 3 nights
6. hit the gym or go for a run, you won’t feel like it but you’ll definitely feel better afterwards
7. try to avoid confrontation, whether it’s the Mrs, the girlfriend, family or anyone else, just take it on the chin until you’re back on form
8. make a list of what you need to do, it’s likely the short term memory may also take a little break
9. and finally arrange to take a half-day or full day off for when you get back

You’ll be right as rain in a few days and ready for the next stag weekend! If you’re planning one, get in touch.

If you’ve got anymore ideas that your fellow stags can benefit from let us know, email them over to www.StagWeb.co.uk

england football kit new design for 2009

england football kit new design for 2009

It was unveiled at the weekend and as with any new England football kit it has received mixed reactions from fans. As retro seems to be the new black at the moment, that’s what they’ve gone for, maybe to try and bring back past glories or maybe just to sell more replica shirts! Whichever way you look at it, you’re still going to want to get one to cheer our lads on in the World Cup qualifiers and (fingers crossed!) in the world cup next year, so why not be the envy of all you mates and get yours first?

The latest redesign of the England football kit is available from tomorrow (April 1st) and will cost around £45 and is available to pre-order now!

What do you think of the new England kit? Leave your comments with the form below!

stag dares & forfeits

Posted by: admin In: stag party dares

What stag night is complete without games involving dares and forfeits? They’re a great opportunity to set up some prime humiliation for the stag.

You might want to give some thought to these in advance or just see what you can come up with one the night, there is also this handy pack of dare cards to help you come up with some ideas.

A stag night forfeit can range from the simple buying everyone a drink to the total humiliation of being made to wear the infamous Borat mankini!

With all of your dares and forfeits, be sure to stay within the confines of the law, we’ve all read the stories about stags nearly missing their weddings because they’ve been arrested in a foreign country for public indecency and you wouldn’t want to be the one responsible for that!

stag party theme ideas

Posted by: Jon In: stag party themes

You’ve got your activities & accommodation all sorted for the stag weekend …but you haven’t got a theme for your stag night yet. To make this stag night one to remember it’s always good fun to dress up and have a theme. The advantage of dressing up is not only having some embarrassing funny photos of the lads but also you’ll find your mates easily in large clubs.

Before you decide on your theme it’s a good idea to check with the pubs/clubs you intend to visit and check they don’t mind the hysterical dress code.

We’ve listed below some of the funniest stag themes and where to find the costumes at the best prices.

Superhero theme

Or maybe supervillain? Pick a side and pick a costume, there’s so many to choose from, whether it’s classics and childhood heroes such as Batman or Superman, more modern heroes like Mr. Incredible and Radioactive Man or a made-up superhero like Captain 6 Pack, you’ll be certain to look the part when you come to the aid of any damsel in distress.
Alternatively, if you’d rather be an evil do-er you have plenty of options as well, but with Heath Ledger’s fantastic performance in The Dark Knight, everyone’s going to want to dress up as the The Joker anyway.

Gladiator Fighter to the Death Adult Costume

Gladiators

One of the greatest films ever made, so it’s not surprising this is a popular theme among stags. Dress as a barbarian warrior, gladiator, Hercules or a Spartan which is sure to attract some Roman Empresses. Just make sure you’ve got those zero pack beer bellies on show!

Pimps

Iced Pimp Ensemble Gold Adult CostumePimp out your stag night with some very cheesy outfits. We’ve all seen those cheesy 70’s cop shows which usually had a dodgy looking pimp. These outfits will bring the group close together and make it one to remember while busting a groove on the dance floor! There are a few levels of pimp extravagance to choose from: bling on a budget, mid-level player and iced-out playa!

Mexicans

Mexican Serape Adult CostumeAh bandido! If you’re all going to dress as Mexicans then you have to do it proper! Wear the poncho, sombrero, curly moustache, hold a big fat cigar and speak like Mexicans shouting “Underlay! Underlay!” while waiting in the queue for the nightclub. Just be careful if you want the little toy guns as well, the Police may not see the funny side and it could cause problems!

Star Wars

Star Wars Episode 3 Darth Vader Adult Costume KitIf you’re a Star Wars geek then this is the theme for you! There’s nothing funnier than 20 lads dressed as clone troopers doing the robot dance in the night club.

The only problem though is deciding who will go over to the Dark Side and become Darth Vader.

If you’re still feeling uninspired, then why not browse the range of costumes at BuyCostumes.com? They offer speedy delivery to the UK and with the exchange rate in our favour at the moment, if you all go in on the shipping, you could really get a bargain.

Hi,

Welcome to StagLad, the website that makes your job as chief stag party organiser a lot less stressful. If you’re looking for costumes, t-shirts, pranks, jokes, football shirts or just some ideas for the last night of freedom then you are in the right place.

Mankini

Mankini

We’ve done the hard work of searching for the best stag essentials you need including the famous Borat thong (Mankini) which is a huge seller for stag parties and can be a great item to dare someone to wear, or most likely you will get that one crazy person that will wear it anyway.

Check back regularly for more stag party and costume ideas.
